Orange County Bar Association Charitable Fund Announces Annual Gala, 2014 Honorees

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Sep. 23, 2014—The Orange County Bar Association (OCBA) Charitable Fund is pleased to announce its 2014 Law Firm and Community Partner Honorees, which will be recognized during its Annual Gala on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014 at Big Canyon Country Club in Newport Beach. Headquartered in Costa Mesa, Calif., Rutan & Tucker, LLP has been named the OCBA Charitable Fund’s 2014 Law Firm Honoree for its substantial and continuous support of charitable causes throughout Orange County. The OCBA Charitable Fund will also recognize four Orange County ABA-Accredited Law Schools as its 2014 Community Partner Honorees. These local law schools—Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law; University of California, Irvine School of Law; Western State College of Law at Argosy University; and Whittier Law School—continuously benefit and assist the Orange County community through numerous public service programs.

Continuing the success of last year’s theme, Raise Your Glass II—a California wine country-themed wine tasting and charity awards benefit featuring live entertainment, a live and silent auction, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, and more—will be held Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014 at Big Canyon Country Club in Newport Beach. Event proceeds benefit the OCBA Charitable Fund, a nonprofit foundation which raises money for law-related charities in Orange County. The OCBA Charitable Fund is dedicated to bettering the Orange County community and legal profession by assisting access to justice. Since 2003, the OCBA Charitable Fund has provided grants totaling over $1 million to law-related charities and programs throughout Orange County.
