OCBA member Michael G. Balmages received the "Comm. Tom Schulte Community Service Award" from the Robert A. Banyard Inn of Court at its annual Awards Gala on May 16 at the Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel. The Hon. Mary Schulte (Ret.) presented Michael with the award named in honor of her late husband. The awarded recognized Michael’s 4,000 plus hours as a volunteer Temporary Judge in the OCSC including presiding at approximately 1,500 Mandatory Settlement Conferences. Michael is a full time mediator, arbitrator, and discovery referee with ADR Services, Inc., and the lead astronomer for The Nature Reserve at Rancho Mission Viejo.
