Governor Gavin Newsom announced the appointment of Eric J. Wersching as California superior court judge in Orange County.

Judge Wersching, 44, of Ladera Ranch, has been appointed to serve as a Judge in the Orange County Superior Court. Judge Wersching has been a Founding Partner at Ross Wersching & Wolcott LLP since 2006. He was an Associate at Payne & Fears LLP from 2004 to 2005 and served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Melvin T. Brunetti at the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit from 2003 to 2004. Judge Wersching earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Roger B. Robbins. Judge Wersching is registered without party preference.
