The OCBA supports Second Harvest and community organizations that provide food to those in need. Food From The Bar is a grassroots, nation-wide campaign started by lawyers to fight hunger in communities where they work and live. During the month of May, the Orange County legal community is parterning with Second Harvest in our very own Food From The Bar Campaign to feed the hungry in OC.
You can help us provide more fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy and proteins to our neighbors in Orange County who face food insecurity with your contributions through our Virtual Food Drive. Thanks to the food bank’s buying power where $1 helps provide 3 meals, you can make an immediate impact! Every dollar raised through this Virtual Food Drive will be used to buy nutritious food for our community.
The Orange County Food From The Bar virtual food campaign will run from May 1 through June 3, 2019. It is easy to participate; you can donate online.
Food Distribution Center Event
Saturday, May 18, 2019 - 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
8014 Marine Way, Irvine, CA 92618
The activities for the event are announced on the morning of the event as they are dependent on what donations we receive. Generally, volunteers help to sort and package fresh produce, non-perishable food, or food drive items. These projects are moderately physical. Volunteers may be involved in moving moderate to heavy items.
