Celebrating the OCBA’s Affiliate Bars

This month, the OCBA celebrates its partnerships with the fifteen independent affiliate bar organizations listed below. Many OCBA members already are intimately involved with an affiliate bar, and several former OCBA presidents and board members have served in the leadership of affiliate bars. The OCBA is proud of its relationships with these important groups and believes cooperation and dialogue with its affiliate bars serve to enhance the practice of law in Orange County.

Association of Business Trial Lawyers, Orange County Chapter (ABTL-OC)
ABTL-OC provides a forum for litigators and judges to discuss issues important to business trial lawyers. Its mission is to promote competence, ethics, professionalism, and civility in the legal profession. For more information, visit www.abtl.org.

Celtic Bar Association (CBA)
The CBA promotes camaraderie, civility, and professionalism within the Orange County legal community, as well as a greater awareness of Celtic culture and history. It meets every month at Muldoon’s Irish Pub. For more information, visit www.celticbarassociation.org.

Federal Bar Association, Orange County Chapter (OC/FBA)
The OC/FBA’s mission is to strengthen the federal legal system and administration of justice by serving the interests and needs of federal practitioners, the federal judiciary, and the public. It hosts numerous CLE events and social gatherings. For more information, visit www.fbaoc.com.

Hispanic Bar Association of Orange County (OCHBA)
OCHBA advocates for access to justice and for a legal community that reflects the diversity of Orange County. It promotes education, unity, and excellence in the Hispanic legal community through educational and social events. For more information, visit https://ochba.org.

Iranian American Bar Association (IABA-OC)
IABA-OC educates the community about legal issues, protects and advances the legal rights of the Iranian community, and fosters and promotes Iranian American legal professionals. For more infor­mation on IABA-OC, visit www.iaba.us, or contact IABA-OC on social media @iabaoc.

Italian American Lawyers of Orange County—Lex Romana (IALOC)
The mission of IALOC is to celebrate Italian culture, provide continuing legal education opportunities to members of the Orange County legal community, and create opportunities for networking. For more information, visit www.ialoc.org.

J. Reuben Clark Law Society—Orange County (JRCLS-OC)
JRCLS-OC promotes public service, loyalty to the rule of law and the Constitution, and appreciation for the religious dimensions both in society at large and in a lawyer’s personal life. For more information, visit www.jrcls-oc.com.

Orange County Asian American Bar Association (OCAABA)
OCAABA welcomes members from all backgrounds and practices, and is dedicated to service, charity, and leadership in the Orange County legal community. It hosts numerous CLE programs and social events. For more information, visit www.ocaaba.org.

Orange County Criminal Defense Bar Association (OCCDBA)
OCCDBA represents Orange County criminal defense practitioners at all levels of the decision-making processes in the criminal justice system. It hosts CLE events and social gatherings, including panel discussions with presiding and trial judges, open forums for judicial candidates, and insights from practitioners. Orange County Jewish Bar Association (OCJBA)
OCJBA provides a social environment that engenders comradeship among its members based on the Jewish traditions of Torah (law), Mitzvot (good deeds), and Tzedakah (justice) while practicing law and serving the community. For more information, visit www.ocjba.org.

Orange County Korean American Bar Association (OCKABA)
OCKABA promotes meaningful relationships among Korean American lawyers and law students, provides pro bono services to the Orange County Korean American community, and hosts social events and webinars. For more information, visit www.ockaba.org.

Orange County Lavender Bar Association (OCLBA)
The OCLBA is an association of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning (LGBTQ), and allied attorneys, judges, and law students in Orange County that provides networking, educational, and mentorship opportunities. For more information, visit www.oclba.org.

Orange County Trial Lawyers Association (OCTLA)
The OCTLA is dedicated to advocating for the protection of individuals and their access to civil justice through education, training, and social opportunities. Orange County Women Lawyers Association (OCWLA)
OCWLA advocates for women in the legal profession by providing a network for its members, raising awareness of discrimination and bias, supporting charitable organizations, and hosting CLE opportunities and annual events. For more information, visit www.ocwla.org.

Thurgood Marshall Bar Association (TMBA)
TMBA seeks to connect, support, and increase the Black legal community in Orange County by promoting diversity and inclusion, professional improvement, and the advancement of justice through positive community involvement and excellence in the practice of law.
