OC Superior Court Notice: Temporary Closure of North Justice Center (NJC) - Updated October 1, 2020

As you are all aware, the Orange County Superior Court’s North Justice Center (NJC) has remained closed due to building safety concerns. The safety of the public, our judicial officers, staff, and justice partners continues to be our utmost concern. The North Justice Center will remain closed through Friday, October 9, 2020

This additional time will allow the Court to ensure all possible issues are evaluated and, if needed, resolved. We have been in communication with the Judicial Council of California to assign experts to conduct and conclude an inspection of the impacted areas before we reopen the facility. While we have not received any independent reason to be concerned, we are requesting this additional inspection out of an abundance of caution.

Cases scheduled for the North Justice Center will continue to be heard at alternate locations. The Court is in the process of creating a temporary department assignment sheet that will take us through the closure period.

More information regarding the facility will be provided as it becomes available.
