Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger announced the appointments of Orange County Bar Association members attorney William D. Claster, Commissioner Lon F. Hurwitz, and Commissioner Joe T. Perez to the Orange County Superior Court on Friday, Dec. 3.

An associate and then partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP since 1976, Claster fills a vacancy created by a court commissioner position conversion on Oct. 8, 2010.

Hurwitz, an Orange County Superior Court commissioner since 2004, was elected in June 2010 to fill the vacancy created by Judge Randell L. Wilkinson's retirement. The appointment allows him to assume his place on the bench immediately.

Orange County Superior Court commissioner since 2007, Perez also fills a vacancy created by the conversion of a court commissioner position on Oct. 8, 2010.
