2022 Summary of Court-Related Legislation prepared by the Judicial Council Governmental Affairs and includes the following:

• A description of newly enacted laws determined to be of interest to or have an impact on the judicial branch, broken down by major categories such as civil, criminal, juvenile, etc.;
• The effective date of the legislation, noting urgency measures with an effective date before January 1, 2023;
• Statutory code citations to facilitate further research of the measures;
• A report of new or expanded crimes and new or expanded causes of action;
• A numerical index of all court-related legislation, with a special indicator for bills in the table of new or expanded crimes.
