ONLINE CHECK-IN / ZOOM PROGRAM PROTOCOL CIVIL UNLIMITED AND COMPLEX
In 2021, the Superior Court of California, County of Orange implemented an online check-in pilot program to facilitate the use of Zoom in Civil Unlimited courtrooms. The Court progressively expanded the pilot program to include all Civil Unlimited courtrooms. Given the success of the pilot, and in light of the implementation of Code of Civil Procedure section 367.75, California Rules of Court, rule 3.672, and Local Rule 375, I hereby order:
The pilot program has been superseded by the enactment of the Local Rule 375 and the Court'sAppearance Procedure and Information for Civil Unlimited and Complex. The Court now requires online check-in/Zoom for all remote proceedings in Civil Unlimited courtrooms.
Effective April 29, 2022, the online check-in/Zoom program will be expanded to all Complex courtrooms. Unless ordered otherwise by the court, remote appearances for Complex hearings will be conducted via Zoom through the court's online check-in process available through the court's website at https://www.occourts.org/media-relations/civil.html. Information, instructions, and procedures to appear remotely are available on the Court's website at https://www.occourts.org/media-relations/aci.html.
