Each year, Orange County Lawyer magazine publishes an up-to-date list of the OCBA leadership as a service to our readers. It is through the dedication and continued efforts of the gracious volunteers who make up the OCBA Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Section Leadership, and Committee Chairs that the Bar is able to develop networking, educational, and community outreach events throughout the year in support of the OCBA’s mission:

To enhance the system of justice,

to support the lawyers who serve it,

and to assist the community served by it.

The 2021 Executive Committee is led by this year’s OCBA President, Larisa M. Dinsmoor, an Orange County Public Defender. As President, she chairs the Board of Directors and is an ex-officio member of all committees. As President-elect, she chaired the Nominating and Appointments Committees and co-chaired the Racial Justice Task Force. Prior to this, she served as Chair of the International Law Section, the OC Lawyer Editorial Advisory Committee and was Co-Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee. She will be President of the OCBA Charitable Fund Board of Directors in 2022.

Larisa’s vision is to promote more connection, community and unity within our legal community and beyond. She is an avid supporter and member of OCBA affiliate organizations and their activities, including the Orange County Women Lawyers’ Association (OCWLA), the Orange County Hispanic Bar Association (OCHBA), the Orange County Asian American Bar Association, the Thurgood Marshall Bar Association (TMBA), and many others. Feel free to reach out to her at larisa@ocbar.org.

The OCBA Board of Directors also welcomes two newly added members: Eve A. Brackmann
(Stuart Kane LLP) and Jared De Jong (Payne & Fears). The OCBA Young Lawyers Division
welcomes its new chair for 2021: Tricia L. Halstead (LA County District Attorney’s Office).
