Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck Hires BK Shareholder
Julia "Julie" W. Brand, former counsel at Liner Grodem and partner at Katten Muchin, has been tapped as a shareholder in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck's corporate bankruptcy and restructuring group.

"A 25-year veteran of California bankruptcy law, Julie is an integral addition to our bankruptcy and restructuring group," said Karol Denniston, managing partner of the firm's Los Angeles office. "Her wealth of experience in assisting clients in navigating complicated bankruptcy and restructuring issues throughout California makes her a significant asset to our current and future clients, and for the firm as we continue growth in this area of practice."

A co-chair and charter member of the International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation's Southern California Network, Brand is a frequent speaker on bankruptcy-related topics at various meetings and seminars. Her practice spans chapter 11 filings, representation of secured creditors, and negotiating the restructuring of existing debt obligations and related loan documents.
