LASOC Honors Todd Friedland, the OCBA and its Charitable Fund

The OCBA is pleased to share that OCBA Charitable Fund President Todd Friedland, the OCBA and its Charitable Fund received the 2017 Outstanding Community Service Award by the Legal Aid Society of Orange County. The award was presented at the 2017 Voices for Justice Annual Awards Dinner held on Oct. 12, 2017 at the Bowers Museum. 

"Under the leadership of Orange County Bar Association (OCBA) Past President Todd Friedland of Stephens Friedland LLP, the OCBA, its Charitable Fund and LASOC have forged an even stronger partnership in our joint pursuit for equal justice for all. In the past year, Todd’s leadership at the OCBA, and now its Charitable Fund, has made LASOC’s Homelessness Outreach Program possible and engaged hundreds of volunteers to becomingpart of the solution to Orange County’s homelessness crisis."

The 2017 Voices for Justice Annual Awards Dinner honored OCBA member Erwin Chemerinsky, dean of UC Berkeley School of Law and founding dean of UC Irvine School of Law, as the 2017 Robert J. Cohen Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP received the Access to Justice Award. The Patricia Herzog Pro Bono Award was presented to OCBA member William Wise, co-founder & executive director of Elder Law and Disability Rights Center.
