OCBA Board Member Antoinette Balta, president and co-founder of Veterans Legal Institute, was named as a 2018 Presidential Leadership Scholar (PLS). Balta was one of 59 scholars selected as part of the program’s fourth annual class.

OCBA members Joseph L. Chairez of BakerHostetler, Adrianne Marshack of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, Joel S. Miliband of Brown Rudnick LLP, and Nicole Whyte of Bremer Whyte Brown & O'Meara LLP were added to the Public Law Center Board of Directors this year.

JAMS announced the addition of OCBA member Donald Morrow. He will be based in the JAMS Orange Resolution Center.

Buchalter welcomed OCBA member Dawn Knepper to the firm's Labor & Employment Practice in its Orange County Office. Knepper joins Buchalter from Ogletree Deakins.

Buchalter announced that OCBA members and intellectual property team J. Rick Taché,  Erikson Squier, and Roger Scott will be joining the firm's Orange County office.

The Orange County Bar Association Charitable Fund announces its annual grant recipients, providing a total of $205,000 to 15 law-related organizations and programs in Orange County. A special reception for grant recipients will be held tonight, Feb. 15, 2018, at the OCBA office in Newport Beach, Calif.

The Orange County Bar Association met with the 2018 OCBA committee leaders who were appointed by OCBA President Nikki Presley Miliband. Their one-year term as committee chairs began Jan. 1, 2018.

Murtaugh Meyer Nelson & Treglia LLP announced its merger with The Deily Law Firm, APC effective October 1, 2017 as Murtaugh Treglia Stern & Deily LLP.
