Orange County Business Journal held their 14th annual General Counsel Awards on Thursday, November 14, 2024. Of the 49 nominees, Orange County Business Journal named 17 OCBA Members.

The Hon. Gail A. Andler (Ret.) (JAMS) has been selected as the 2024 recipient of the OCBA's Franklin G. West Award.

The Central District of California will launch the Opt-Out Civil Consent to Magistrate Judges Program on December 1, 2024. Pursuant to that Program, a certain portion of new civil filings will be assigned directly to Magistrate Judges.

The online election will open for voting on Friday, November 8, 2024, and close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024.
