The Orange County Superior Court implemented an online check-in pilot program starting June 7, 2021 to facilitate the use of Zoom for hearings, including law and motion calendars, at zero cost to the public. Courtrooms participating in this program will be using Zoom in lieu of CourtCall for remote hearings.

Governor Gavin Newsom announced the appointment of Eric J. Wersching as California superior court judge in Orange County.

Orange County Superior Court announced today the mandatory use of masks/facial coverings again for all those entering Harbor Justice Center regardless of vaccination status, beginning tomorrow, July 14, 2021.

Based on the extraordinary circumstances posed by the pandemic, including the limitations on gatherings, mask requirements, and court delays, the time for current judges to complete the content-based continuing temporary judge education required by California Rules of Court, rule 2.815(a) is hereby extended by 12 months.

This Order provides for the termination of livestreaming of criminal proceedings and the opening of criminal courtrooms to the public and the media.
