The Rules and Forms Committee of the Superior Court of California, County of Orange, has proposed revisions to the Local Rules of Court. Pursuant to California Rules of Court, rule 10.613, the Court invites you to comment on proposed new and revised changes to local rules.

All comments concerning a proposed rule must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 7, 2024.

On April 24, 2024, the State Bar of California filed a request to approve amendments to California Rules of Court, rules 9.40 and 9.43. The request is granted.

The “dog days of summer” refer to the hot days between July 3 and August 11 surrounding the moment when Sirius—the Dog Star—rises and sets with the sun.

The online election will open for voting on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024, and close at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, 2024. Only active attorney members will be eligible to vote (no law students, retired, or honorary members).

All attorneys admitted to practice before the Court are reminded of the requirement to maintain accurate contact information in CM/ECF.

The Orange County Superior Court is introducing the Ability to Pay (ATP) Program. MyCitations is an online application that offers individuals the option to request a reduction for their infraction citation, particularly in cases where there is financial need. The new application will be available on June 27, 2024.

All comments must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2024.

For your awareness, the electronic evidence portal will be unavailable from Friday, May 31, 2024, through Sunday, June 2, 2024, to allow for the configuration and testing of the physical evidence application.
