Notice from the Clerk - Changes to Local Rules Proposed to Become Effective June 1

The Court preliminarily has approved amendments to the local rules listed below. The proposed effective date is June 1, 2026. A redline of the proposed changes accompanies the electronic version of this notice and can also be found on the Court’s website. The proposed rules slated for amendment are as follows:

Local Civil Rules:

• L.R. 73-2.1 (amendment)
• L.R. 73-2.2 (amendment)
• L.R. 83-2.1.4 (amendment)
• L.R. 83-2.1.4.1 (amendment)

Members of the public are invited to submit comments on the proposed changes to the rules. Comments may be submitted to lr_publiccomments@cacd.uscourts.gov. Only comments submitted by electronic mail to this address will be considered.

All comments must be submitted no later than May 20, 2026. All timely received comments will be considered by the Court before final adoption of the rules.
