Call for Nominations: 2019 OCBA YLD Chair-Elect

SUBMITTAL DEADLINE: 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018

All Young Lawyers Division (YLD) members in practice three years or less are encouraged to submit a nomination to serve as the position of 2019 YLD Chair-Elect. The 2019 YLD Chair-Elect will be chosen by the current YLD membership during an election held from December 5, 2018 to December 19, 2018.

The YLD Chair-Elect serves for one calendar year and thereafter elevates to serve as the YLD Chair for the following calendar year. The YLD Chair-Elect assists the YLD Chair in carrying out the duties of the YLD Chair, which include acting as the supervisory and ceremonial leader of the YLD. The YLD provides resources specifically tailored to OCBA members who have been in practice for five years or less. These resources provide a variety of professional, educational, and social opportunities to YLD members such as Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars, community service events, and athletic activities. Participating in YLD leadership is an ideal way to meet new attorneys and jump-start one’s involvement in the Orange County Bar Association.
