Streamlining Trademark Prosecution: Causes for Delay & Suggestions for Improvement, Including Trademark Modernization Act

The U.S. Trademark Office is Under Siege; Trademark Prosecution times have tripled over the past couple of years, and the U.S. Trademark Office has been "invaded" by tens of thousands of fraudulent filings, effectively gumming up the works for legitimate businesses trying to protect their brands, logos, and slogans. Come learn about some of the causes from former Director of the USPTO Andrei Iancu and some of the potential fixes from law student Anthony Aviza, who has written about the Trademark Modernization Act. Bring your questions for the Panelists and come hear some great stories that affect you and your Clients' ability to protect their Trademarks. Talk Moderated by Trademark, Patent, and Copyright Lawyer Marc E Hankin.
