2019 Labor Law and HR Update
During this program, attorneys Marie DiSante and Brian Cole will review important new legislation, key judicial decisions, recent state and federal agency actions, and new regulations California employers need to be aware of for 2019, along with recommendations for compliance. This includes a review of the new independent contractor test, many new #MeToo related laws, and website accessibility claims. In addition, HR Consultant Anita Nygaard will review new employer requirements including Harassment Prevention Training, managing employee records, interviewing candidates, a new job-protected leave and recommended employer strategies to enhance their legal defenses.
