Beyond Simple Diversity Training: Merely Raising Awareness Doesn't Work

What's the Problem? Very little is truly known about the effectiveness of diversity programs in reducing unconscious bias, despite the $8 billion spent annually by US corporations. Typical trainings attempt de-biasing by simply focusing on awareness. Current research clearly shows that awareness is simply not enough. This program will review common biases existing generally and in the elder community specifically. Participants will be exposed to the "freeze-change-refreeze" paradigm and reasoned judgment strategies (such as the "crowd-within" approach). Please join us for this informative cutting-edge program.

Cancellations must be received via fax or email three (3) business days prior to meeting date to receive a refund.
