Random Audit of Your IOLTA Account? Get Ready

 

In 2021, the CA State Bar recommended conducting random audits of attorney IOLTA accounts and requiring some or all attorneys to have their trust accounts regularly audited by Certified Public Accountants. Now, the State Bar is working to amend the State Bar Rules of Professional Conduct 1.15 and 1.4 to implement the Client Trust Account Protection Program (CTAPP).

 

Please join the YLD Education Committee to discuss the current trustaccount reconciliation requirements and proposed amendments.

This program is approved for 1.0 Legal Ethics CLE Credit. Attendees must have participated in the program in its entirety to receive MCLE credit.
