Vietnam: A Journey Back
Journey back to Vietnam with Orange County Superior Court Judge Rick King with this multi-media discussion about his service in Vietnam. At age 20, he was a “Seabee” serving with a Naval Construction Battalion in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. In January of 1968, while working to rebuild Highway 1, he and his unit found themselves in the middle of the Tet Offensive. They held their positions through repeated and sustained attacks. The judge will describe the battle, its aftermath, his journey across the country to locate the next of kin and his emotional return to the battle site in Vietnam, 50 years later, with the family members of those who lost their lives there
