Trauma-Informed Lawyering
This continuing legal education program focuses on trauma-informed care within the legal profession. The session aims to educate legal service providers on the principles of domestic violence, trauma, and their impact on survivor clients. Participants will gain insights into relationship violence, the power and control dynamics, and the prevalence of intimate partner violence. The program will also cover trauma-informed approaches, client-centered advocacy, and effective communication strategies to support survivors in the legal context. By understanding the signs and symptoms of trauma and cultivating trust, legal professionals can better assist clients while minimizing re-traumatization.

Cancellations must be received in writing via fax or email three (3) business days prior to meeting date to receive a refund.
