Insurance Coverage For Intellectual Property Lawsuits Under Any Conceivable Policy
This discussion will address the commonly missed opportunities for coverage of IP lawsuits under various insurance policies. Although most policies contain an IP exclusion, the complaints of most IP lawsuits include allegations that can trigger coverage under most standard policy types, including Commercial General Liability ("CGL") policies. The talk will also explain some of the bad faith conduct that insurers often engage in when denying coverage as well as other things to be wary of during pursuit of coverage.
