Navigating the Legal Complexities in Health Care Industry Franchising
Franchising generally is a regulated industry, but franchising in the health care industry involves an additional layer of compliance obligations and adjustments to comply with certain health care laws. The program will provide an overview of applicable franchise laws, including discussion of the FTC Franchise Rule and state registration and disclosure requirements, followed by an overview of health care laws and doctrines that must be considered when preparing a health care business for franchising. The program will cover issues related to advertising, prohibitions against the corporate practice of medicine, anti-kickback statutes, fee splitting, licensure and credentialing, and privacy.
This program is approved for 1.00 CLE Credit. Attendees must have participated in the program in its entirety to receive MCLE credit.
Cancellations must be received in writing via fax or email three (3) business days prior to meeting date to receive a refund.
