Evidence in Action: The Anatomy and Psychology of a Family Law Trial
Seminars will provide tips and techniques from the family law bench and bar on the fundamentals of a family law trial, including Opening Statements; Direct Examination of a party; direct examination of an expert; cross examination of a party; cross examination of an expert; and closing statements. There will also be techniques and tips from the bench and bar on questioning minor children as well as evidence issues regarding domestic violence restraining order proceedings. There will also be presentations by Professors from the UCI Center for Psychology and Law on scientific and academic research regarding childrens’ involvement in the legal system; memory development of children; and research regarding children as witnesses.
This program is approved for 2.5 CLE Credits. Attendees must have participated in the program in its entirety to receive MCLE credit.
The National Academics requires that all visitors to the Beckman Center be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Visitors must show their official COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card (or a digitial photo of the card) before entering the building.
