Ethical Dilemmas
This program will address the ethical duties of court appointed appellate counsel, implications of Rule 8.3
(mandatory reporting of misconduct), certain conflicts of interest under Rule 1.7, and the ethical duties of
supervision and competence in the use of generative artificial intelligence. The program will include discussion
of the State Bar of California’s new Practical Guidance for the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in the
Practice of Law, adopted in November 2023.
Limited in-person space available. NO WALK-INS.
This program is approved for 1.00 Legal Ethics CLE Credit. Attendees must have participated in the program in its entirety to receive MCLE credit.
