It is ubiquitous that at some point during an employer-employee relationship that an employee may suffer, or allege to have suffered work-related injury. More often than not, the injured worker will seek to recover benefits against the employer for compensation for the work-related injury under California’s workers’ compensation scheme. Follow along in this presentation for a brief overview of the distinctive rights and rules of compensation ordinarily owed to the injured worker that is statutorily passed down to Lien Claimants by way of Labor Code, and the common issues that typically arise during the scope of litigation of the right to compensation by a Lien Claimant.
