The OCBA Legislative Resolutions Committee works each year to help modify, supplement, and clarify California law through the Conference of California Bar Associations. Initially, the Committee meets to propose and discuss resolutions, then moves on to review and comment on resolutions from other bar associations, and completes its work by attending the fall Conference to determine which of the resolutions may be presented to the Legislature for possible action.

Regardless of years in practice or practice area, all OCBA members are welcome to participate in the work of this collegial and helpful Committee. If you see a problem with existing statutory law, this is your opportunity to propose a resolution which provides a solution. Even if you have no resolution to propose, your experience and perspective are needed in considering and evaluating the resolutions which do come before the Committee.

Register for the meeting, participate, and make a difference. If you have an idea for a resolution but are unable to attend the January meeting, please submit your proposal to events@ocbar.org for discussion by the Committee.

Zoom link will be sent to registrants the day before meeting date.
