Hit the Ground Running: Practical Advice for Novice Attorneys
This program will provide valuable tips and strategies for getting a quick start in the practice of law in areas including time management, client care, building and maintaining competence, problem solving and identification, the written and spoken word, professionalism, and surviving and thriving in the practice of law. Neil Pedersen is the principal of Pedersen Law, an Irvine litigation firm. He has been an attorney for over 30 years, and has regularly been named a Southern California Super Lawyer and one of the best employment attorneys in Orange County. Neil has served as the Chair of the OCBA’s Solo & Small Firm Practitioner Section and the Insurance Law Section, and in 2016, he was named Attorney of the Year by the California State Bar Solo and Small Section. He is an adjunct professor at Western State Law School, where he was presented with Western State Law Review’s first Distinguished Alumni Award in 2018. Neil has given over 100 presentations and contributed to almost 40 publications in the legal community.
