How to Prepare for the California Consumer Privacy Act and Other Important Considerations Regarding Privacy and Cybersecurity Laws

California continues to lead the states in privacy and data security legislation. This presentation will explore California’s new privacy and cybersecurity laws and take a deep dive into the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and its proposed amendments. It will explore the particular challenges for businesses created by the law, the effect on service providers, and why businesses must be proactive to avoid unnecessary liability on January 1, 2020. Finally, the presenters will address the top compliance mistakes made by in-house privacy teams and how businesses may leverage GDPR compliance to efficiently prepare for the CCPA.

Cancellations must be received in writing via fax or email three (3) business days prior to meeting date to receive a refund.
