IPRs and the Courts
The program will focus on issues related to Inter Partes Review (IPR) practice at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). Specifically, Dr. Harrison will discuss issues relating to IPR estoppel at the PTAB as highlighted in a recent article published in the Journal of Business & Technology Law. Brian Claassen will be discussing recent and trending practical issues surrounding IPRs including how to handle certain estoppel issues, the need for supporting declarations when providing non-patent literature to the PTAB, and the ramifications of the recent General Plastics case on IPR practice.
