Hot Topics in Data Privacy: A Panel Discussion on Privacy, Security, and Risk Management

Data breaches are increasingly common, affecting individuals and the world’s biggest companies. Law firms of all sizes are not immune from phishing attempts and ransomware. Not only are data breaches a major headache, attorneys should be particularly concerned with safeguarding their data because of the confidential client information that they maintain. This program is brought to you by the OCBA’s IP & Technology section and Mommy Esquire committee, and will discuss data privacy from the 10,000-foot level as well as the biggest data privacy threats facing attorneys, and the steps that should be taken if you or your firm are compromised by a phishing scheme or ransomware; the disclosure laws that you or your firm may be subject to, as well as preview the laws that are coming; and strategies to mitigate exposure to a data breach, including by having a good cyber insurance policy.

Cancellations must be received in writing via fax or email three (3) business days prior to meeting date to receive a refund.
