Pitzer College v. Indian Harbor Insurance Company: Where Do We Go Now?

In August, the California Supreme Court unanimously held that the notice-prejudice rule is a "fundamental public policy" for choice-of-law purposes, and that it applies to consent provisions in first-party policies. This program will discuss:
  • What the decision means for choice-of-law provisions in insurance policies.
  • The implications of the decision for various types of first-party coverage.
  • The effect on practitioners' choice of forum and decisions whether to remove to federal court.

Cancellations must be received in writing via fax or email three (3) business days prior to meeting date to receive a refund.
