Community Property Issues Arising in Probate Administrations
This presentation will review, from a litigator's perspective, common community property issues that arise in probate administrations. Topics will include the characterization and distribution of assets, the characterization and allocation of debts, a decedent's right to convey community property assets, claims by a surviving spouse, application of California and Federal law to beneficiary designations, Marvin claims and putative spouses, and the impact at death of a pending divorce proceeding amongst spouses.
This program is approved for 1.0 CLE Credit. Attendees must have participated in the program in its entirety to receive MCLE credit.
