Navigating Dementia on a Day-to-Day Basis: Creating a Guide to Caring for Persons with Dementing Illnesses and Memory Loss in Later Life
Certified Care Manager, Dementia Practitioner and Grief Recovery Specialist Sylvia Thompson will walk us through the common issues Conservators and family members face when a loved one suffers from memory loss and how to navigate them: Do’s and don’ts when caring for a loved one with memory issues. What factors determine if a person can live safely at home? Why choose at-home care or care within a memory facility? How to address repetitive questions, failure to cooperate (bathing, self-care) and when to reach out for help.
This program is approved for 1.00 CLE Credit. Attendees must have participated in the program in its entirety to receive MCLE credit.
Cancellations must be received in writing via fax or email three (3) business days prior to meeting date to receive a refund.
