The cultural, technological, and political era in which we live is testing the limits of the First Amendment in ways the Founders could not have envisioned. Professor Richard L. Hasen has approached these issues in his scholarship, Judge James C. Ho is presented with them as a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and Sills Award Recipient Theodore J. Boutrous, Jr. faces them as one of the country’s premier First Amendment litigators.
