Elimination of Bias: Next Steps Towards a Positive View
The objective of this course is to revisit the types of negative bias (overt, implied, implicit or unconscious bias) that affect us in the legal profession, and to suggest ways to reduce the likelihood that such bias will adversely affect your practice of law. We also examine aspects of certain types of positive bias that will enhance professional relationships at all levels, such as a bias for something that can bring understanding, healing, and hope.
This program is approved for 1.00 Implicit Bias CLE Credit. Attendees must have participated in the program in its entirety to receive MCLE credit.
