President's Message

Dear Friends,

As we say goodbye to summer, I want to take this opportunity to congratulate all our mothers and fathers for making it through another summer break!

A great way to celebrate the start of fall while supporting OCKABA is to join us at our 18th Annual Installation Gala taking place on September 28, 2023 at Fete the Venue in Costa Mesa. There will be a fully hosted bar the entire night and we will be serving up some delicious traditional Korean food (with vegan options)! Early bird pricing for tickets ends this week on September 7, 2023 so get your tickets now.

I also want to take this opportunity to encourage  our members who want to get more involved in OCKABA to please reach out to admin@ockaba.org or anyone on board because we have several committees you can join.

Also, quick reminder that our board meetings are open to our members. Please join us at our meeting this month on September 14, 2023 and/or come to the happy hour at Andrei's after our board meetings to see how you can get more involved!

OCKABA 18th ANNUAL INSTALLATION DINNER

SEPTEMBER 28, 2023

Please join OCKABA at its 18th annual installation event at Fete the Venue in Costa Mesa on September 28, 2023.

OCKABA is especially excited for this year’s installation dinner because we will be honoring Hon. Richard Lee, a longtime supporter of OCKABA, with the Judge of the Year award. We will also be presenting Joanne Lee Molinaro, our keynote speaker this year, with the Trailblazer award (partner at Foley & Lardner LLP and bestselling author with over 5 million followers across her social media platform). We are also honored to have Hon. Joseph Kang swearing in the new board. The event will be well attended by judges, attorneys, politicians, law students, and local influencers.

In addition to honoring our speakers/award recipients we plan to show our sincere gratitude to our sponsors for their support for OCKABA. OCKABA, with over 200 members, strives to make a meaningful difference in the Orange County community through bi-monthly pro bono clinics, panels, and a robust mentorship program. Our work supporting law students, attorneys, and promoting increased diversity in judicial officers would not be possible without your continued support.

This year, our theme is “Celebrating Being Together Again” and we would be honored to have you join us as we celebrate being together again.

To become an honored sponsored, please email admin@ockaba.org.
