Dear Members and Friends of the Hispanic Bar Association of Orange County,

Our Annual Dinner is fast approaching, in only a few short weeks we will be celebrating Our 44th Annual Scholarship Fundraiser & Installation Dinner on March 12, 2022. The event is SOLD OUT.

This is our biggest fundraiser of the year! It funds our Wally Davis Memorial Scholarship Fund to award scholarships to future generations of Latinx attorneys. These scholarships make such a difference to hard working law students, help us keep providing them scholarships!
At our 44th Annual Dinner we will have the pleasure of honoring:

Associate Justice Maurice Sanchez
Lifetime Achievement

Court Appointment Special Advocates (CASA OC)
Guardian De La Justicia

Gilbert Paul Carreon
Attorney Of The Year

Chapman University
Corporate Citizen

Our deepest gratitude to all our sponsors for joining forces with us and helping us make our Annual Dinner a success already! It is because of sponsors like you that this is all possible. You are helping our future generations of Latinx professionals overcome obstacles and reach their goals! We could not do this without you, THANK YOU!
Sponsors are the lifeline of our organization as they allow us to continue to remain focused on our mission of promoting education, unity and excellence in the Hispanic Legal community, there is still time to make a difference by becoming a sponsor, we have many sponsorship opportunities available. Feel free to reach out to any of our board members for any sponsorship questions. We would love for you to join forces with us and become a sponsor!

Just as sponsors are the lifeline of this organization, our members are the heart of our organization and we appreciate you all. We are delighted to welcome our new and returning members, great to have you!

We close this newsletter with a very heavy heart; we are deeply saddened by the passing of Judge Frank Ospino. Judge Ospino was one of the HBA’s biggest supporters. He leaves a legacy of a legal track record and work ethic to be admired, his humanity was undeniable and his support of the HBA unwavering. We had the pleasure of honoring him as Attorney of the Year in 2013 and our 2020 Judge of the Year. Accolades and honors cannot begin to describe the legacy he leaves behind. Living a true American Dream, he came from an immigrant family and was the first in his family to attend college and thereafter entered the legal profession with a commitment to help those in need and made a difference in every life he touched. His compassion, dedication, humbleness, zeal, excellence and kindness made him truly one of a kind. Please take a moment to keep his family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. Judge Ospino will be sorely missed; however we will strive to continue his legacy by following the trail he blazed.

Warmest regards,
