Numerous specialty sections meet regularly to provide sources of networking information and education (CLE) to members.
- Alternative Dispute Resolution* A forum for the exchange of ideas, examination of trends in the field, and professional development of members interested in alternative dispute resolution.
- Appellate Law* Reviews procedural aspects of California appellate practice, and monitors legislative proposals and studies by committees which may affect California appellate practice.
- Business & Corporate Law* Presentations and discussions focus on current issues in tax, labor, securities and corporate law.
- Business Litigation* Holds meetings concerning areas of law involving business and commercial litigation.
- Commercial Law & Bankruptcy* Presents programming in areas involving commercial transactions, particularly Uniform Commercial and Bankruptcy Codes.
- Construction Law* Meetings address the legal aspects of engineering, architecture and the construction process.
- Corporate Counsel* Considers issues and concerns relative to the in-house corporate attorney. (Open only to in-house corporate counsel)
- Elder Law* Presentations focus on educating the elderly public on legal rights and accessibility to legal services.
- Environmental Law* Provides programs geared toward the toxic and environmental concerns of government and business.
- Family Law* Considers legislation, including procedure, support, tax considerations, community property and legal and psychological aspects of child custody.
- Financial Practice* A forum devoted to the problems and concerns of attorneys who work for or otherwise represent financial institutions and/or providers of financial services.
- Immigration
Law* Sponsors educational
programs geared to practitioners at varying levels of experience
and monitors and comments on federal immigration legislation.

- Insurance Law* Considers areas of interest to those attorneys representing both insurers and insured parties.
- Intellectual Property & Technology Law* Addresses the acquisition, protection and commercial exploitation of all types of technology and bio-technology.
- International Law* Examines issues affecting the practice of international law.
- Labor & Employment Law* Composed of management and union lawyers, litigation specialists, and employment law attorneys who meet regularly to discuss recent developments in labor law.
- Product Liability* Provides a forum to educate and inform members of recent developments in product liability law and related topics of interest.
- Real Estate Law* Meetings focus on substantive law in the field of real estate and assists the OCBA in proposing legislation affecting real estate.
- Social Security* Meetings address the substantive and procedural law of the Social Security Acts.
- Solo Practitioner/Small Firm* Provides programs which guide attorneys regarding successful ways to operate a law practice, more efficiently and cost effectively.
- Tax Law* Offers programs on tax-related issues and monitors legislation.
- Trusts & Estates* Programs cover substantive and procedural law governing trustees, probate estates, guardianships, conservatorship and other related matters.
- Workers Compensation* Workers Compensation law and related practice and procedure issues are addressed.
