| • The OCBA & Public Law Center present Domestic Violence Legal Clinic Training Tuesday, May 13, 2008 The Domestic Violence Legal Clinics offer one-on-one legal advice and counsel to victims of domestic violence at three women’s shelters located in This program will introduce interested attorneys to the many types of problems that affect victims of domestic violence and will provide resources to deal with these problems. The focus will be not only on legal issues, but also on the social and economic issues (homelessness, employment, health) that may be affecting the lives of victims who are seeking help from these shelters. | State Bar Accepting Nominations for the 2008 Aranda Award Nominations for the 2008 Benjamin Aranda III Access To Justice Award are now being accepted. The Aranda Award honors a judge who has demonstrated a long-term commitment to improving access to our courts, and who has significantly improved access for low- and moderate-income Californians.
