OCBA POSTHUMOUSLY HONORS ATTORNEY BOO GIUFFRE WITH PRESTIGIOUS SCOVILLE AWARD
March 20, 2008 - Newport Beach – The Orange County Bar Association will present the Harmon G. Scoville Award posthumously to attorney Boo J. Giuffre. This award is presented annually to honor a member of the Orange County legal community whose career exemplifies the highest standards of the legal profession and who has significantly contributed to the Orange County Bar Association and championed our constitutional system of justice. The award was established in 1990 in honor of Justice Harmon G. Scoville, retired from the California State Court of Appeal.
Boo Giuffre, a longtime OCBA member, served on the Board of Directors, Resolutions Committee and was a former chair of the Family Law Section. Ms. Giuffre was a premier champion of children’s rights during her career as a family law attorney. She passed away in September 2007.
This award will be presented on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the annual Law Day Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at the Turnip Rose in Orange.
