ADMINISTRATOR, CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS - Updated 6/12/2018
The Education Administrator is a professional position within the Orange County Bar Association, providing oversight of the continuing education programs and seminars produced, ensuring that all educational programs are consistent with the State Bar of California’s Continuing Legal Education requirements. The Administrator is responsible for planning, organizing and promoting myriad programs that involve member volunteers, sponsors, professional speakers, non-profit organizations, academia, vendors, and others. Primary areas of responsibility include planning, management and marketing of continuing education programs.
The ideal candidate must be highly-motivated, detail-oriented, and well-organized, and have an ability to guide and support professionals involved in the OCBA educational programs. Ideal candidate will have minimum 5-7 years administrative and supervisory experience, preferably in the legal field.
Experience with volunteer management is a plus. Ability to develop and maintain ongoing working relationships with committee members, speakers and vendors.

In developing the workshop roundtables, the Director/Staff Attorney will help faculty identify key experts and stakeholders, perform outreach and interviews, help facilitate roundtable dialogues, and collaborate in the authorship of resulting documents and publications. Additionally, the Director/Staff Attorney will assist in the planning and organization of the Center's other public and student programs, such as semi-annual practitioner-focused conferences, periodic academic symposia and speakers, a student-led literature and film series, and an international interdisciplinary summer institute for future sustainability leaders.
