OCBA Member Edmond Connor Bag Lunches for the Homeless in South County

With all of the local food banks in South Orange County being closed down due to the COVID-19 crisis, OCBA past president Edmond Connor and his wife, Sue, organized a group of volunteers to make bag lunches for the homeless in San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, and Dana Point.

On Tuesday morning, March 31, they assembled the first batch of 25 bag lunches and dropped them off in San Clemente.

"The decision was made this morning to go ahead and start handing out the bags for breakfast, because people were hungry and food for the homeless is scarce these days as you can imagine," shared Connor.  "The program successfully launched this morning and hope that other volunteers will take turns making up the bag lunches."
