On September 10, the OCBA Appellate Law Section hosted a candid discussion to hear from a distinguished panel of Ninth Circuit Judges. The panel included:

Hon. John B. Owens
U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit

Hon. Daniel P. Collins
U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit

Hon. Kenneth K. Lee
U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit

Judge Owens was nominated by President Obama and was one of the youngest appointees to the Ninth Circuit. Judge Collins and Judge Lee were nominated by President Trump and are two of the newest judges on the court.

Section members heard about the experiences and philosophies of the judges and how they hope to contribute to jurisprudence.
