Chapman University Fowler School of Law Receives $1.125 Million Gift from OCBA Member-Firm Bergener Mirejovsky

The OCBA is pleased to share that Chapman University’s Dale E. Fowler School of Law has received a $1.125 million gift from OCBA member-firm Bergener Mirejovsky, APC. This represents one of the largest gifts in the history of the Fowler School of Law.

The gift will be used in various ways to support the school, including the Bergener Mirejovsky Scholarship for Fowler School of Law students over the next six years and an annual gift toward the school’s bar prep program. Additionally, the student lounge will be renamed the Bergener Mirejovsky Student Lounge, and its game room will also be renamed the James M. Bergener Game Room.

“I am inspired by James and Sam’s affection and commitment to Chapman University and the Fowler School of Law,” said Matt Parlow, dean of the Fowler School of Law. “We are grateful for their incredible support and vision for this great law school.  We are fortunate to have them as part of the Chapman Family.”

Prior to this gift, Bergener Mirejovsky made annual gifts of $180,000 to support the Bergener Mirejovsky Scholarship, established in 2013. The scholarship is designed to assist law students who have worked full-time prior to seeking a legal education. In addition to their generous financial contributions, the firm also regularly hires Fowler School of Law graduates.
