NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.—In celebration of its newly acquired and renovated headquarters located at 4101 Westerly Place in Newport Beach, Calif., the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA) is hosting a Holiday Open House on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. All current OCBA members as well as invited guests are encouraged to join the OCBA as it celebrates this historic milestone.
In her December 2012 President’s Page column for Orange County Lawyer magazine, OCBA President Dimetria Jackson attributed the success of the OCBA’s new headquarters to “the concerted leadership, knowledge, and countless hours of our volunteers, including members of the OCBA Task Force, chaired by [OCBA Immediate Past President] John Hueston, the Board, the Finance Committee, members of the OCBA staff, as well as others.”
In addition to office space for members of the OCBA staff, the OCBA’s new headquarters feature training and meeting space available for a variety of OCBA activities, including Committee and Section meetings, seminars providing a range of Mandatory Continuing Legal Education credits, networking events, and more.
“The OCBA is especially grateful to Kyle Kawakami of Irell & Manella LLP for his time and expertise throughout all phases of the project,” Jackson added.
Attendees of the Holiday Open House and Grand Opening will be treated to hors d’oeuvres, music, and a festive atmosphere, as well as complimentary tours of the new facilities. OCBA President Jackson will deliver remarks at 5:30 p.m. Although this event is not open to the general public, members of the press are encouraged to attend and may RSVP by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at (949) 440-6700, ext. 123.
